I agree with him that the only mass transit in Smyth County is the U-Haul trucks headed for the county line.

Please pass on to the folks down there in Smyth County, especially the people of Saltville, my favorite town in all of Southwest Virginia, that it is never my intention to belittle them or make light of their situation. I just want the outside world to understand what has happened to the area over the last two decades - especially knowing that it is going to get worse before it gets better.

I agree with your points Jerry. I’m sure that no offense would be taken here with regard to you pointing out the true facts. Keep up the great work. We can only hope that things get better one day.
