January 31st, 2006 11:17 PM by Adam

I found Tim Kaine’s speech sort of hilarious after seeing what he said during the campaign. I guess he hopes people from the other 49 states won’t know that. The “eyebrow” made an appearance the whole time throughout the speech. At one point, I think both of them went up.

On the State of the Union

January 31st, 2006 11:07 PM by Adam

I think President Bush did a great job on the State of the Union Address tonight. I would have maybe liked to see him further elaborate on certain issues. I think he explained several key things well like the “spying program” and backed it up with an example of Al Qaeda operating in […]

Starting a PAC

January 29th, 2006 4:19 PM by Adam

This weekend I’ve been thinking to myself about starting a local political action committee (PAC) here in Smyth County. The purpose would be to influence local elections and try to further and advance Smyth County in the right direction (which I don’t think it is going presently). I think it would be an […]

Why Did Smyth Authorities Wait 4 Months?

January 28th, 2006 1:45 AM by Adam

Here and here are articles about a disturbing case that has been seen in the local media in recent days.
The fugitive, Curtis Michael Keith of the Saltville area, was indicted by a Smyth County Grand Jury back in September on 104 charges of child rape. Just a couple weeks before this he was […]
