Not Ted Dalton,

People are definitely not satisfied with Boucher as much as before. I've had numerous Democrats who said they have voted for Boucher every year, but not anymore. I think Griffith with the right amount of backing and money to combat Boucher can be competitive and win. People are needing an outlet to express their disapproval at Obama and the Federal Government.

I think Boucher is not as widely known in the far eastern part of the district as he is in the central to western areas. If Boucher does get re-elected and redistricting in 2011 picks up a lot more new territory for Boucher it certainly makes it harder on him in 2012.

I don't know what Fast and Barta are up to these days. Triplett still lives in Abingdon and is an executive at Bristol Motor Speedway, I think he handles government relations and public relations there.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on a possible Boucher-Griffith campaign. As you're on the ground in a smaller jurisdiction in the Ninth, do you think Griffith can win the election? Or is this just going to be a tune-up for when the 9th swallows Roanoke County and Salem and a possible Boucher retirement in 2012?

Also, speaking of the Ninth....do you know what happened to Messrs. Fast, Triplett and Barta? Are they still involved in the Ninth's GOP?
